Hi everyone!
I’m a new volunteer at the site, and will be taking over some of the news/updating duties from Marcie.
A little bit about me, so we get to know each other: I’ve been a Leo fan since 1997–when I first saw What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. This was followed by a freakish amount of Growing Pains re-runs, but we won’t get into that. I’ve followed the site since 2006, and have made occasional donations because it continues to be the most professional fan site I’ve seen. (So donate, because it’s important that we keep it going!)
Now if we’re being realistic, one person cannot keep track of ALL the news. No matter how hard Marcie works, there will always be more news than would be feasible to update. She’s done a great job, and while I’m going to strive to keep that tradition, I can say that I’ll be able to spot every bit of news. I’ll need your help. If you see news from a credible source, please contact us so we can investigate. Feel free to put my name in the subject if you like, because we’ll be seeing a lot more info as publicity ramps up for The Great Gatsby and Django Unchained.
Just a reminder: no information about DiCaprio’s private relationships will be posted. Don’t send it, because we won’t use it; this is Marcie’s site policy and we ask that you respect that.

There’s a big story to this, and I will start from the beginning. When Linda first contacted me about removing photos of Leo off my site I didn’t know what to think, but out of respect I went ahead and removed the ones she requested what I didn’t know was what they meant to her. She contacted me a few times through email and as I was doing the gallery renovating it for December she emailed me again to be sure the pics were removed. I didn’t answer her because i had family thanksgiving dinner to deal with and my children as well. So I figured I would email her later.
On Saturday November 26, 2011 some people came to my home. A man and a lady, I didn’t know who they were so when they mentioned my site, I said, “Oh no what did I do”. Linda mentioned she posted a bad message on SLD’s facebook page and wanted to apologize as it seems she couldn’t remove it. She apologized at how sorry she was that she posted such a message and to just delete it when I saw it. It’s funny though cause the message didn’t appear until hours after she left my home. But we talked about Leo and how he was when he was a toddler and how he truly was as he grew. I didn’t know Leo knew how to ski at an early age. From the way she mentioned Leo is a funny guy and can make you laugh. Plus she shared with me about the photos that she took and why she wanted them removed, although in respect I won’t mention that part of the story in respect for her privacy. But we laughed together and she told me a lot of things I never knew about Leo. I was just truly happy to be hearing all her memories she shared with the DiCaprio’s.
After a while, she left and my husband walked them out. She told me that she would love to show me her portfolio of Leo once she gathered it together and that she would mention SLD to Leo’s PR. What really impressed me was she was amazed at my graphic artwork. I never had anyone tell me that and I was truly shocked cause I don’t think my work is that good sometimes I don’t think so. But to hear a photographer/actress tell you that is priceless. She also mentioned she checked out the rest of my sites and said in her words, since the quality of your sites are top notch, and you have been so admirable!
It was truly an experience I will never forget and treasure always. I hope to remain friends with her in the future, she truly is a great lady. It was truly a pleasure to meet her in person. And I hope to see her again someday.
