Paramount Vantage’s release of the movie received four nominations for this years’ Golden Globe, including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Director.
Sam Mendes, had previously won an Acedemy Award for his direction in American Beauty, but his work is being recognised once again for his depiction of Richard Yates’ novel.
We have a statement from Mendes in response to the nominations, noting:
“We are all delighted and honored that the Hollywood Foreign Press recognized the film in such a generous way. This was a labor of love for all of us and to see it being received in such a positive way is very gratifying.”
In addition, we also have this to add from Winslet:
“I can’t believe it! I am incredibly grateful for these nominations. I am so honored and proud to be included this year, in the company of all these incredible women and alongside my on screen and off screen husbands! And to be a part of two of the best picture nominees! I am very very happy today!”
For the time being the layout will be as is, I plan on making a new layout for this site’s Anniversary, so this site will get an upgrade theme as we are now upgraded to wordpress 2.7. For a while now, I have been buying designs from others. But my graphic skills will be put to the test for its 9th year Anniversary. And some of you said the font was to small which I agree. 9 Years ago, I started this site as of next year it will be 10 years old. I plan on something very special for this 10 year Dedication. I will reveal the details in January for now, enjoy the gallery.
Heart of Destiny.com is now a personal blog where I will talk about certain subjects and from time to time may direct you there if you have any questions that have been asked repeatedly like, “how do I register for the gallery?”. Rather than write it here in a big paragraph.
Thanks to everyone for their comment on the transfer. It is much appreciated thanks to a large contirubtion, from our site staff Elli who made this move possible. She has been a great addition to the site for all her hard work on the gallery.
Diane, Sophie, and Kristen have also been sweethearts, even though they are very busy they continue to be very loyals friends and great staff to the site and gallery.
Naty, who has astoundingly found time to help, with the tragedy of her family’s situation, schooling, teaching and working, has pulled through so much. Thanks to her for updating the press archive which is now the SLD News Center.
The Gallery will be open tomorrow for Registered Users.
We our testing out the gallery to see if we get any errors if everything goes good you can expect the gallery to be open tomorrow.
I just got my copy of GQ December Issue, for now I just scanned the pictures, but I will be scanning the article as well. I ask that when you enter the gallery that you do not spread this among your forums. Because of personal issues, I have been having with certain members.
For people with Leo Forum’s, Leo MySpace’s and Leo Websites you are not permitted to use my mag scans without permission from me first. This is a rule that I am instating as of now. Because of these problems you must ask me first for everything you want to use. If your adding these to your personal collection on your computer there’s no need to ask, only if your reposting my stuff do you need to ask. Every forum, website and myspace will need to put a tag on their site stating, “Scanned by SimplyLeonardoDiCaprio.com” I will be making a tag for you to use so we won’t have any complications with other sites. This is very important so please don’t take this lightly.
I also wanna thank several members for donating and helping me get what i need for this site, magazines, computer components, etc.
I won’t list you but you know who you are. A few days ago my cpu fan was giving out. Luckily I didn’t have to buy a new one. It was just a loose cord, but all those who supported the site and me. I wanna thank you. You guys came through when i needed you most. Thank you very much.
The gallery has been successfully transferred to its new domain. As our staff, get back to work on the gallery there is some problems we are having adding new pics, the database has been successfully add to the gallery and no one will have to re-register however some members were lost which was only 1 person under the username wishdane. Other than this everything is fine. Until I figure out what the problem is with adding new photos to the gallery, the gallery will be down to registered users, admins will have full access to modify pictures and what not.
I am sorry for the inconvience I will let you know when the gallery will be back for registered users. Thanks.

So far right now all images have been transferred to its new home. There was a complication with the database, but my host is fixing that so it works. So after the database is fixed you guys won’t have to re-register. If the database cannot be transferred I am gonna have to start from scratch.
For now, I am not accepting new registrations for the gallery. I’ll start accepting when the new gallery is up.
My staff: Diane, Elli, Kristen and Sophie have been alerted not to upload any new pics until the transfer is complete. But they can feel free to upload pics to a post, if they decide to make a post to add pictures there if they want.
The current gallery http://www.photos.simplyleonardodicaprio.com will stay as is until the transfer to its new home is complete. So it won’t be deleted until everything checks out at http://dicapriophotos.com.
