LEONARDO DICAPRIO has once again proven that despite being romantically linked to some of the most famous women in the world, his mother is his number-one girl. While in Cannes this weekend the Oscar-winning actor splashed out $18,000 on aChanel handbag at the Heart Fund’s Generous People Dinner Gala auction, reports Page Six, revealing to a fellow attendee that it was for his mum, Irmelin Indenbirken.

It’s not the first time that DiCaprio has shown his affection for Indenbirken in a public way. Last year at the same event he won an $11,000 bid for a bag which was also said to be a gift for her, while back in February, when he was in London for the BAFTAs, he dedicated his Best Actor award (for The Revenant) to her.
