The Irishman, which will star both Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The plot is said to center around mobster Frank Sheeran, with shooting finally scheduled to start next month after being in the works in one way or another for almost 25 years. Scorsese is reportedly sticking with the same cast he had planned when he first started writing the screenplay, and plans to “de-age” the actors with the same technology used by studios to create superhero movies.
Meanwhile, in Scorsese’s other project, Leonardo DiCaprio is expected to return to star in an adaptation of the hit historical novel The Devil In The White City. The story combines the story of the Chicago Worlds Fair (which inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland) and the serial killer HH Holmes. DiCaprio will play Holmes, which seems like another spot of genius casting.
