Filming is officially underway for J. Edgar, the highly anticipated Clint Eastwood-directed film based on the life of J. Edgar Hoover.
The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the legendary FBI director, while Armie Hammer will play Clyde Tolson, an associate and the rumored gay lover of Hoover. About his intimate on-screen relationship with DiCaprio, Hammer recently told E!, “It’s not a kissing scene—it’s a ton of kissing scenes,” he said. “I actually just met [Leo] for the first time at the DGA Awards. Sure, we talked business,” laughed Hammer. “He’s a talented actor. I’m not nervous or afraid of it being awkward. The script is great. The scenes are in there for a reason. I’m really excited.”
Josh Lucas and Ed Westwick also star, along with leading ladies Naomi Watts and Judi Dench.
The movie will shoot at various locations in L.A. over the next few months including 506 S Grand Ave where they will be filming interior and exteriors scenes on February 10th (7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.).
