“I’m very excited to tell this story of an LA and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore.” – Quentin Tarantino
Five Years in the Making
Finally, shooting has begun on Quentin Tarantino’s epic film about the Manson Family murders in LA. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will feature some of the biggest names in acting. With an eclectic cast consisting of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino and Burt Reynolds you know that magic is just going to be the order of the day.
According to Business Insider putting the movie together was an odyssey for the director who stated, “I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old.” Turning the L.A. of today into the City of Angels in the 60s is going to be a challenging task.
The story focuses on the relationship between an older actor played by DiCaprio who is out of touch with the Tinseltown hippie scene and his stuntman friend of many years, portrayed by Pitt. As luck would have it, the two men live next door to Roman Polanski and his wife, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
We have been reporting on the casting process and now have obtained behind the scenes photos of the production courtesy of the Tarantino Fan Club on Twitter. It looks like a Taco Bell will be significant to the action in some fashion.
