The 26th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival continued their honors Sunday night awarding Director Christopher Nolan with the prestigious Modern Master Award. The festival’s highest honor was bestowed to Nolan as his latest film Inception has captured international noticed. Friend and celebrity, Leonardo DiCaprio introduced Nolan and gave everyone a chance to appreciate the talent of the director.

“Chris it is with great pleasure that I present you with this well-deserved great honor,” said Leonardo DiCaprio just before handing over the award. “No one in our generation deserves this well bodied titled of modern master.”

While Inception is Nolan’s latest work, he has many delightful films including the mega hit The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Insomnia and Memento. The award last night was definitely deserving and gave another accolade to a filmmaker who has shaped the face of the theater.
