Mr. James (? Joseph) Dawson, 23, from Dublin, Ireland came to Southampton to look for work.
He joined the Titanic as a Trimmer and perished in the sinking.
His body was recovered (#227) and he was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Halifax, N.S. on May 8, 1912.
NO. 227 – MALE – ESTIMATED AGE 30 – HAIR LIGHT & MUSTACHE
CLOTHING – Dungaree coat and pants; gray shirt.
NO MARKS ON BODY OR CLOTHING EFFECTS – N. S. & S. Union 35638.”

Third Class Steward: Tommy Ryan
 
 Mr. T. Ryan, 27, was born in Jersey. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on April 6, 1912, he gave his address as 87 Albert Road, (Southampton). His last ship had been the St. Louis. As a third class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. Ryan died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
