Chapter 31
It was the day Stella would go home. Rose was making her company while her parents weren’t there to take her home.
“Why are my parents taking so long?” Stella asked Rose
“I don’t know honey…they must be stuck in traffic…” Rose answered
In that moment Jack arrived.
“Dad…finally…” Stella said
“I am sorry princess…” Jack said kissing her forehead
“She can go home…you must assign the papers on the reception and then she’s free to go…” Rose said
“Stella…can you give us a moment? Dad needs to talk to Dr…” Jack said
“Okay…” Stella said and left them alone
“What is that…” Rose started
“Rose…is that true that you’re pregnant?” Jack interrupted her
“What? Who told you that?” Rose nervously said
“It doesn’t matter…tell me…is it true?”
“Was it Linda? Or Mia?”
“Rose…please…”
“It’s not yours…” Rose coldly said
“So it’s true…but I thought that we…” Jack said confused
“We just had sex once…that doesn’t mean anything…and besides…am seeing someone…I already was when we met us again…and he is the father…” Rose lied
“Why didn’t you tell me that you were seeing someone?” Jack said sadly
“Why should I?”
“You’re right…I don’t have the right of asking you this…you’re nothing to me…I am sorry if I bothered you with this conversation…” Jack said walking to the door
“Jack…wait…please…” Rose said
But it was too late, he had already left.

Later Rose went home. When she opened the door it was all so quiet. Mia was supposed to be home already.
“Mia…” she called but no answer
Rose started getting worried with all that silence.
“Mia…” she called one more time but Mia didn’t answered
Rose decided to look on her room.
“Mia…are you there?” she knocked on the door
As Mia didn’t answered, Rose decided to enter. When she entered she saw Mia laying on the floor.
“Oh my god!” Rose said and run to her
Mia was unconscient and there was some blood on the floor. Rose took the phone and called 991.
“I need an ambulance right now…” she said on the phone
“M’am please…tell me what’s the problem…” a lady asked
“My daughter is unconscient and she is loosing blood…” Rose said
“How old is the girl?”
“She’s 17…”
“Please remain calm and don’t touch her…”
“It’s alright I am a doctor…”
“Alright doctor…how is her pulse?”
“Very weak…she’s not responding…and her breathing is weak too…” Rose said
“Please give me your address…”

Mia was taken to the hospital Rose works. The gynaecologist, Dr. Stevens, was taking care of her. Rose thought of calling Jack but he was angry with her, so she gave up of the idea. Instead of him she called Linda who arrived in a minute.
“Hey Rose…how are you my friend?” Linda asked hugging her
“I am okay thanks for coming…” Rose said
“What happened?” Linda asked
“I don’t know…I found her like that at home…Mia doesn’t have health problems, she was okay when I saw her this morning…I don’t understand…”
“I’m sure it’s nothing serious…and when she’s better she’ll explain what happened…”
Dr Stevens came to talk to Rose.
“So…what does she have?” Rose asked impatiently
“Dr Bukater…Mia had an ectopic pregnancy…” he said
Rose almost fell.
“A what?” Linda asked
“She is pregnant?” Rose asked
“Was…unfortunately she lost the baby…” he said
“Is she alright?” Linda asked
“Yes…she was medicated and we are just making some exams to be sure everything is okay…but there’s a small risk that she may not be able to have children in the future…” he explained
“Thanks Dr…can I see her?” Rose said
“Sure…bye…” he said
“Want me to go with you?” Linda asked
“No thanks…I wanna talk to her in private if you don’t mind…” Rose said
“Okay I understand…” Linda said
