Chapter 9
Jack woke up with the sun hitting his eyes. He saw Rose laying close to him with her arm around him. He didn't want to wake her so he moved slowly. He rubbed his eyes and saw the ring on his finger. He was now a married man with a gorgeous woman that he would now call his wife.
Since it was the weekend he had time to think about how to break this to his parents. His studies were quite close to the end and his summer was also coming to an end. He would have to think about leaving soon to complete his studies and become the doctor. He wished to become, since he was a kid.
He would have to talk to Rose soon about moving to the states, he only hoped she didn't object. He hoped she would understand that even though they were married that he would still persue his career. After all, he did have another life in the states. He never expected to get married. But he loved Rose and would do anything he could to make her happy.
"Jack?" Rose saw him sitting there on the bed in deep thought. He turned around and laid back down. He kissed her on the lips and didn't say a word.
"Is something wrong, Jack?" She noticed he wasn't in a cheery mood.
"No, nothing just thinking about how I am gonna break this to my mother." He paused.
"Listen, I know she wanted someone better for you like Victoria, but I am your wife and I will stay by your side through this your not alone, Jack." She kissed him and hugged him.
"Thank you, Rose." He kissed her loving her support.
"So Doctor, do you have to do your studies before the final comes?" Rose asked.
"Yeah I should really start cramming for the test. If you don't mind, we should both go home and see each other later?" He told her.
"Yeah I think your right, but keep in mind that after you passed those tests. I am still gonna want you back in my bed if not sooner." She completely understood about his career and she wanted him to persue it.
"I am glad you understand." He got up and pulled on his underwear.
Rose got off the bed and went to get dressed. She threw him his shirt and his shoes. As they both got dressed and ordered a cab. Rose started to think about their future. She could see him as a doctor and his late hours while she was home with a baby in her arms, she smiled at the thought.
Meanwhile, Katie was preparing to give Javier his birthday present she was so excited she couldn't wait to show him. She had just paid it off yesterday and everyone that knew him and her had helped set it up for them. Javier didn't know what Katie was up most late nights, he had assume she was studing for her nursing exams.
Katie had help with her studies Jack Dawson was not only a good friend to her, but a mentor to help her persue her career.
At school, Jack had walked to class carrying his books. He had seen Katie just trying to figure out something and noticed she was having problems so being the good guy that he was, he decided to help her and together they would help each other with their exams. The exams were a team effort so he chose Katie to be his partner for their final exam.
Their final exam was to examine a cadaver and perform a simple and easy task to see what the person had died of and to diagnose what they think the person had done to become this way.
Jack would do the exuming while Katie would write down everything he said and help him figure out anything he had problems in.
He would often think of Rose during most of his classes. But he focused on his task, he pondered about telling his mom this evening about him and Rose. It wasn't gonna be easy.
