Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown wants Leonardo DiCaprio to play Eleven’s long lost brother

Millie Bobby Brown wants Leonardo DiCaprio to join the cast of Stranger Things.

Speaking to the Press Association, the actress – who plays Eleven on the hit Netflix series – revealed she would love for the Oscar winning actor to join the show as “Eleven’s long-lost brother”.

“I have already made a storyline,” she added.

“Leo, if you want to be in Stranger Things, here’s the contract.”

If he does take up the offer, Leo would join fellow season three newcomers Francesca Reale, The Princess Bride star Cary Elwes and Jake Busey.

Reale will play Heather, a popular lifeguard at the Hawkins Community Pool who becomes central to a dark mystery.

Elwes is set to play the “handsome, slick, and sleazy” Mayor Kline, while Jake Busey takes on the role of The Hawkins Post journalist Bruce who has “questionable morals”.

Filming for Stranger Things season 3 commenced at the end of last month.

All of the show’s major characters are expected to return, including Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and Charlie Heaton.

Reports that the season will only run for eight episodes this time around (as opposed to season two’s nine episodes) have also been confirmed by series producer and director Shawn Levy.

However, it looks like we may have to wait a while until we see Reale, Elwes, Busey and possibly DiCaprio on screens, as Hopper actor David Harbour has hinted that season three may not air until 2019.

Stranger Things is expected to return to Netflix in 2019.
