Movie-maker Ridley Scott is reportedly working with Leonardo DiCaprio to bring Aldous Huxley’s futuristic novel Brave New World to the big screen.

DiCaprio will produce and possibly star in the film, while Scott will also produce with an eye to direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

DiCaprio would most likely play the main character of the book, lower-caste member Bernard, THR reports. Set in the future, Brave New World is about a seemingly perfect society where family is outlawed and each citizen’s role is defined by what caste they fall under.

Leonardo DiCaprio soaked up the sun yesterday at the beach in Ibiza. He’s on the Spanish island relaxing with a group of friends, which includes his latest model companion, Anne Vyalitsyna. While he has fun abroad, Leo is still making deals back in Hollywood — he’s signed on to produce a gothic version of Little Red Riding Hood, as well as an adaption of Brave New World with Ridley Scott.

According to The NewYork Post, the 34-year-old actor reportedly has fallen for another Sports Illustrated model (his last girlfriend Bar Refaeli was an SI cover model). Leo reportedly has the hots for swimsuit model Anne Vyalitsyna.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been linked to yet another model – after he split from catwalk beauty Bar Refaeli. The Titanic star is now said to be romancing another Sports Illustrated beauty, Anne Vyalitsyna, according to US reports. Leo, 34, was snapped partying with the Russian-born 23-year-old stunner in Ibiza. He has also recently been linked to Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts.

Leo previously dated the world’s top-earning supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, for several years. A representative for the actor was unavailable for comment. Meanwhile, his ex, Bar Refaeli has been linked to Brazilian playboy Ricardo Mansur, and Israeli gambling tycoon Teddy Sagi.

DiCaprio to star and produce with Scott to produce and direct the film adaptation.

After several tries at made-for-TV adaptations, Aldous Huxley’s dystopian 29th century literature stronghold “Brave New World” will get revamped as a new feature film.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Biz blog reported Wednesday that Leonardo DiCaprio and Ridley Scott are set to produce the movie, with the “Titanic” actor looking to star and the “Blade Runner” director looking to direct.

Universal has set up the project and slated “Apocalypto” writer Farhad Safinia to write the script.

Rumors about the project have been circulating since Scott mentioned his admiration for the 1931 novel in recent interviews. DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way, owns the rights to it, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The project is still in the development stages with studio executives meeting and its timing will depend largely on the script. DiCaprio is currently tied up with Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” and Scott is shooting his action film “Robin Hood” in England. Neither has a project lined up after those.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s week-long vacay in Spain has come to an end.

Joined by a few friends, the 34-year-old actor was seen going for a bicycle ride around Notting Hill area of West London today (July 29).

Suggesting he may very well be single, Leo has been shepherding a flock of stunning women while on his European escapades. Just in the past week, he’s been linked to Cameron Diaz and Pussycat Dolls singer/dancer Ashley Roberts.

He recently attended the Cartier Chinawhite Polo bash in Windsor and it seems the ladies went crazy. Says a source: “There was a swarm of ladies around him but it was Ashley who caught his eye. They chatted for two hours as he hid in the corner wearing his cap.”
