Leonardo DiCaprio took his bike for a ride around London yesterday after grabbing lunch at Fifty. Staying true to his environmentalism, Leo is doing his part to stay eco-friendly while he’s in town filming Inception. His next movie, Shutter Island, hits theaters in October which means Leo has some time to enjoy the rest of the Summer before heading back to the states for his promotional duties.

It’s been a few months since we’ve heard an update on The Low Dweller, a co-production between Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and his Body of Lies director Ridley Scott’s Scott Free production houses. What attracted Leo and Ridley to the project was a script that had a fair percentage of Hollywood salivating. So it’s interesting that the film might be turned over to an inexperienced director.

The Hollywood Reporter says that commercial director Rupert Sanders is in negotiations for The Low Dweller. Perhaps you’ve seen his work for the Wolverine and Halo 3 video games and Monster.com. Sanders is also attached to the remake of The Wild Geese.

The script that started all of this is by Brad Ingelsby, and it’s about a man released from prison and is haunted by a “figure from his past.” It has apparently been compared to No Country for Old Men, and boy, that’s a dangerous precedent to set for a movie by an unknown director with a script by a writer with very few credits.

DiCaprio will definitely produce (one of the more than 20 projects he currently has in development), and he is apparently set to star as well. That could either take some pressure off the new director or heap a whole lot more on him.

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is clearly enjoying his new-found singledom — and we can reveal he’s keeping his amazingly high standards when it comes to female companions.

We spotted him out last night on an intimate date with the ex-girlfriend of Jesse Metcalfe.

The Blood Diamond star, who recently split from his long-term lover Bar Refaeli, took stunning model Emma Miller on a dinner date in South Kensington.

Desperate Housewives star Jesse is bound to be peeved that Leo, 34, was romancing his former squeeze (after all, Leo does have something of a Titantic reputation with the ladies).

The actor took Emma to Collection, where he did his best to stay incognito with his regular trick of pulling a cap over his face — hardly the best outfit for a hot date.

Our mole told us: “The pair arrived separately and Leonardo was very keen not to be photographed. They left 10 minutes apart, and Leo then made his way to Maddox nightclub in Mayfair.

“His car stopped, and just when it looked like he was going to get out, it sped off again. He must have had a last-minute change of heart.”

Reports that Leo had split from Israeli supermodel Bar emerged last month, with many sources citing his refusal to commit.

Emma and Jesse split after being pictured together several times in April and May.

Leo is currently in London filming sci-fi thriller Inception, also starring Michael Caine and Marion Cotillard, with Memento director Christopher Nolan at the helm.

Enjoying time overseas, Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted out at private members bar Fifty in Mayfair on Tuesday afternoon (July 14).

After enjoying a midday meal, the “Titanic” hunk proceeded to take in the sights of West London via bicycle as two bodyguards followed along.

Meanwhile, rumors continue to persist as to Leo’s love life – with insiders telling that he has definitely split from model girlfriend Bar Refaeli.

A source tells The London Paper, “There was a queue of ladies trying to get near Leonardo — he even had a special security guard with him, just to keep them at bay.”

The insider adds, “Leonardo was telling people he was definitely single, but he wasn’t interested in any of the women trying to get his attention.”

Leonardo Dicaprio enjoyed another adventure in London last night, this time teaming up with My Name Is Earl actor Ethan Suplee.

In contrast Ethan, who plays Earl’s brother Randy in the US TV sitcom, was a lot more laid back about the attention.
