United Way Worldwide, the largest privately funded non-profit, said Wednesday that all proceeds of the Harvey Recovery Fund would go directly to recovery efforts. The organization said it expects this work to continue for years.

A telethon to raise money for the victims of the havoc ravaged by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma will air Tuesday night from 8 to 9 PM EDT and is set to be one of the biggest telethons ever.
The celebrity lineup for the event boasts several high-profile names including Al Pacino, Drake, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Travis Scott, Dave Matthews, Jon Stewart, Billy Crystal, Chris Paul, Robert De Niro, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies ( DELL) , and Verizon ( VZ – Get Report) are said to be underwriting the entire event, ensuring that 100% of the collected money is donated to the hurricane victims, TMZ reports.
Dell will match the first $10 million, and Apple ( AAPL – Get Report) will give $5 million.
CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX will all carry the show live, as will 17 other networks and platforms including MTV, BET, Bravo, HBO, Facebook ( FB – Get Report) YouTube and Twitter ( TWTR – Get Report) , TMZ reported.
